F-7U-3 “Cutlass”
The aircraft began its service in September 1954 at the Naval Air Station Oceana, VA. Despite its minimal service time, the aircraft served with two Marine fighter squadrons and one attack squadron. In May 1957 the Navy retired the aircraft after it flew to Willow Grove for an airshow.
The DVHAA acquired the aircraft in the early 1960s, where it was put on display. It currently awaits restoration; and is currently the number 2 project after the Phantom restoration..
On loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL.
