Kaman SH-2G “Sea Sprite”
This type of aircraft is an all-weather Anti-Submarine Warfare helicopter with additional search and rescue and utility capabilities.
It was intended to serve as the on-board helicopter for smaller US Navy frigates and destroyer classes.
This specific aircraft served both as a submarine warfare and a search and rescue asset during its service.
The Museum acquired the aircraft in 1998.
