Mitsubishi A6M7 "Zero"

In 1962, the Zero was relocated to the Smithsonian for display. Eventually the San Diego Air & Space Museum acquired it. The San Diego Air & Space Museum Volunteers spent over 12,000 hours restoring this plane after it had suffered storm damage. The restoration was completed in 1984. This aicraft is currently on display in their WWII gallery.
